Take caution when unlocking and opening the door as both an Albino Spider and Poison Cloaked Spider reside within. Clear out the Draugr and head towards the first locked doors you see. Ignore the ramp downwards and head to the area where you found the dead miners. Search around the chamber for new items then head into the second chamber, now almost fully excavated. Fight them off and head towards the first chamber to deal with yet another Draugr Deathlord. Inside you will immediately get attacked by two Restless Draugr. Ralis sends you inside once more to go and clear out the problem. When the courier arrives, and he seems genuinely concerned at the amount of letters you get from Ralis at this point, return to Kolbjorn Barrow and see what Ralis needs this time.Īt Kolbjorn Barrow, it seems that some miners have once again survived, but their bodyguards and some friends have gone off and died once more. Wait around for another few days, or work on some other Dragonborn Sidequests around Solsthiem while waiting for the next courier. After obtaining the gold he sends you off once more. Give him the gold as He assures you that you will eventually profit. Which means, as his partner your parting with more gold. This time, Ralis is hiring some mercenaries to guard the miners. Head back to the surface, taking to the boots with you if you hadn't taken them before and speak to Ralis again. You can then head inside a small chamber with Ahzidal's Ring of Necromancy waiting inside. Turn around,find the handle at the bottom of the wall and activate it. Head up the stairs, kill the last remaining Draugr and then head towards what seems to be another dead end. grab the soulgem off the pylon it stands on and then pull the handles from top to bottom (skip the third one) then pull the top handle once more. Deal with him and then pull the next chain to reveal yet another hallway. Clear out the Draugr bodies with clothes on them (They are the ones more likely to come to life), wait for an hour to regain all your health, magicka, and stamina, then pull on the chain to reveal the next portion of the hallway and another Draugr Deathlord. Head inside the next hall to find another miner who has a book with some interesting information and some other useful items. Kill the overlord and use the ledge near the opening at the bottom of the chamber to hoist yourself up, or wait until you clear the rest of the excavation to get it before you leave.
On the recently unearthed column sit a miner's body, a Draugr Deathlord and an item named Ahzidal's Boots of Waterwalking. Picking up any items that you find useful from their bodies. Then head the way you went last time and deal with the Draugr as you explore. Once inside, first head to the right into a small hallway that was excavated since your first visit. He will also ask for you to find out if anyone else is still alive. He then asks to to clear them out again, seeing as you've been able to do so before. After talking with him you learn that more Draugr have awakened and have killed at least half of the new miners while the other half ran away. If nothing happens just wait for another courier to deliver Ralis' next letter.Īfter getting the letter, head to Kolbjorn Barrow to find that Ralis isn't so happy to see you again. With gold in hand, Ralis sends you away once more.Īfter another few days, you can head back to Kolbjorn Barrow. Just move the bloody skull on the altar in the center of the room and then head back to Ralis.Īfter speaking with Ralis, he tells you that the next part of the excavation will need more money as he needs to convince the new workers with more coin since their friends had all died. With all the Draugr dead, all thats left to do is to find a way to head deeper. Be sure to focus on the Draugr and Restless Draugr before dealing with the Draugr Deathlord. Head inside the Barrow and take care of the Draugr inside. Ralis also mentions that had they not awakened the Draugr, the group would have given up anyways as they had met a "dead end". Once there you learn that the group had accidentally awakened the Draugr in the Barrow and were all subsequently killed, save for Ralis. Immediately head over to Kolbjorn Barrow. Then speak with him and offer to fund his expedition.Īfter a few days, head to the barrow or wait for a courier to find you with a message from Ralis.
